We are a team of experienced CV Writers & Career Coaches with extensive backgrounds across recruitment and HR. Collectively, we’ve written over 500 CV for our clients from all four corners of the globe positioned in multiple industries spanning from Graduate to C-suite/Board Level.
We’ve been recruiting for 7+ years and writing CVs and providing career coaching for 3+ years. During this time, we’ve reviewed over 100,000 CVs and have spent thousands of hours interviewing and screening candidates.
What makes us different to a lot of other CV Writers & Career Coaches is that we know what it takes to stand out and make it through the recruitment process because we still work in the environment today. EVERYDAY we screen CVs, interview candidates and headhunt talent on platforms like LinkedIn! The key to providing expert advice in these areas is remaining current and active whilst being aware of the markets and its forever-changing trends, technologies and processes.
WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO!
CVUpgrade was born in 2018 out of frustration as a Recruiter from looking at bad CVs. Some rivaled a short novel in terms of length whilst some had less writing on them than a tin of baked beans!
Feedback gained from job seekers shows that once they were in an interview environment, they were confident in selling themselves, it was just convincing Recruiters that they possessed the necessary capabilities, credentials, and skills that they had trouble conveying on a CV.

You’ll work 1-2-1 with your chosen CV Writer and Career Coach, who will guide and support you through the process and will be responsible for the design, build and delivery of your CV, cover letter and LinkedIn profile.
All work carried out and coaching conducted is carried out my ourselves, we don’t sub-contract your work out to freelance “Writers“ based in foreign countries who have no contact with you nor do they have any idea about the industry you work in and the acronyms/abbreviations and terminology used.

Sarah Penaluna
Human Resource Specialist People Development at CVUpgrade.
With over 8 years experience in Business Management and Human Resource Management – specialising in Career Coaching and Employability Support in the sectors of Higher Education and the Military.
Serving member of the Irish Defence Force Reserves for the past 16 years, currently with 1 Brigade Transport, HQ Collins Barracks and previously Naval Service, Haulbowline Naval Base, Ireland.
Masters’ education in Human Resource Management CIPD accredited at the highest level, Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree in Business Studies and Higher Diploma (Honours) in Business Management.
Lecturing background in the Limerick Technological University in Human Resource Management and International Business, Careers Officer – Careers and Employability Department and Executive Officer – Assistant Registrars Office – Office of Vice President Academic Affairs & Registrar.
